Volunteer for Friends of the Shawnee

Welcome to the Official Volunteer Page for Friends of the Shawnee National Forest. We are always looking for volunteers from all over who would like to visit the Shawnee National Forest to:

  • Help pick up trash and leave the forest better than we found it
  • Help remove invasive plant species and make the forest healthier
  • Help maintain trails so that hikers, bikers, and equines don’t get lost
  • Help provide educational information so that visitors know the facts
  • And so much more!

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, use the buttons below to create a Volunteer Accounts (it’s free) or login to your existing account.

Volunteering for Friends of the Shawnee National Forest is free to you. We provide all tools, equipment, personal protection equipment, and supplies needed to properly perform volunteer activities.

At times we can offer some benefits to volunteers including lodging, merchandise, and other benefits.
